Growing up in the Maritimes, I have long understood the power of story. Through a relaxed, supportive, and collaborative approach to counselling, we will explore your story, both the pages already written, and the chapters yet to unfold.

I offer a compassionate, respectful, and accepting environment to work together towards your goals. With over 15 years of experience as a registered social worker in clinical and community health settings I offer a strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach that draws on narrative, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapeutic models.

Prior to engaging in private practice, I worked as a registered social worker in a hospital setting in the areas of emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, and psychiatry. I have also provided social work consultation for residents, families, and caregivers in Long-Term Care, and provided crisis and community counselling in both Ontario and the Northwest Territories.

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from York University, Master of Health Sciences from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Studies in Law from Western University. I specialize in working with adults on issues of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, confidence, substance use, acute trauma and grief.

With humor, humility and curiosity, I look forward to working together to tell your story in your words, and on your terms.
